Painted Leather Purse
Painted purse for Driving Miss Daisy at Barrington Stage Company, designed by Sara Jean Tosetti. The leather purse, originally brown, was stripped and painted a light blue base color for coverage. Thin layers of darker teal paint restored texture and depth to the textured surface.

Distressing: “Lady Finnola”
A mysterious woman with a tragic past, Lady Finnola wore a gown covered in bloodstains and dirt. The distressing had to withstand frequent washing and exposure to the elements. The stains were primarily created with acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium, and diluted to look faded.
